Marine Conservation Happy Hour

Sep 22, 2020

PhD Student at Nelson Mandela University, Minke Witteveen, joins the MCHH Crew to discuss the intricacies of the whale watching industry in South Africa. Minke describes how the whale watching companies have a different understanding of what the tourists want for marine mammals. Craken also points out that the tourist boards sometimes raise the hopes of what tourists expect to see (i.e. breaching whales).

Listen in as the Marine Mammalogists discuss this important Whale Watching topic.

What do you expect to see when you go whale watching? Share your expectations in the Speak Up For Blue Facebook Group: http://www.speakupforblue.com/group.
