The MCHH crew weigh in on the debate happening online within the Speak Up For Blue Community about whether we should prioritize Ocean Issues based on how it is affecting the planet. For instance, Climate Change vs Plastic Pollution. Climate Change has been cited as one of the most dangerous Ocean Issues this planet is facing by many different countries; however, countries are not providing the action needed that would make it a priority. On the other hand, Plastic Pollution is being addressed by various governments that seem to be making it a priority.
Some people argue that plastic pollution priorities are becoming a distraction to other issues that need more attention. What say you?
