Marine Conservation Happy Hour

Apr 9, 2019

The MCHH Crew decided to change things up a bit for this episode. We have discussed how environmental organizations in the past need to embrace technologies such as social media platforms (especially podcasts) as a way to connect with their constituents. Some organizations are starting to use podcasting to accomplish their goals.

Speak Up For Blue has been working with some organizations to launch their podcasts and we wanted the have you listen how one of their clients, the Toronto Zoo, is using podcasting to tell people about the conservation work that they have been doing behind the scenes for decades.

In this episode, you will hear the most recent episode of the Wild For Life Podcast by the Toronto Zoo, in which Andrew hosts and interviews Kim Welfle. Kim is the African Penguin Keeper at the Zoo and discusses the Zoo's conservation work as well as the challenges the penguins face in South Africa and the Conservation Organizations that are there to help them.
